The Save the Dates Came In!

This is a bad picture, I'm far from a professional photographer ... I'm actually not even a good photographer! But it gives you an idea! I was slightly disappointed that the picture on the magnet didn't come out clearer, it's a bit grainy ... but apparently that's how they print on that medium. Just pretend you don't notice! :)

They should go out this week, I have to go buy a bazillion stamps before they go up again.

Bridesmaid Dresses!!!

So after searching the internet and looking through everyone's suggestions I think we found one (well 3) that would be really cute!! Do you think I could get away with wearing one in white?? :)

They are from Jenny Yoo and are available in stores in San Diego, San Francisco, Denver, and Cincinnati!

I like these three styles and think it would be cute if we mix and match. I also like the blue and the green that they show here. Summery, not too fancy, and they have pockets!

They will give us a discount for ordering more than 3 at a time. I'm going to go try them on to see if they are actually cute in person.

Back from Costa Rica!

After 11 days in Costa Rica I am back ... traded the beach above just steps from my room for inches and inches of snow!
Anyhow I'm getting back into wedding planning mode and I ordered our Save the Dates yesterday! I should be getting the proof soon so I will post it!
Also ... Bridesmaid Dresses. I have literally searched the entire internet looking for Dresses that everyone might like ... but without much luck. Any suggestions will be appreciated!!!! I'd kinda like to go for something where we pick the color/fabric and then everyone can pick their cut or style. Thoughts??

The Deets

So here are the wedding Details!

When:
Saturday, July 18, 2009

Where:
The Rehearsal will be held Friday, July 17th at about 5:00 PM at Solana Beach Presbyterian Church. The Rehearsal Dinner will follow and will be at my favorite restaurant The Beach House.

The Ceremony will be at 4:30 PM (or half past four o'clock according to the invitation) at Solana Beach Presbyterian Church. My dad will be marrying us.

The Reception will begin at 6:00 PM and held at The Crossings at Carlsbad, a new golf course in Carlsbad, a little bit north of where my parents live. They have been open since October 2007 so it's fairly new. This summer was their first wedding season and they were booked solid! The link above is to their new wedding gallery which shows a few pics of recent weddings.

Where to stay:
We have 2 hotels where we have reserved rooms. They are right next door to each other on Highway 101 (the beach road) in the Solana Beach / Del Mar area. Click on the links below to go straight to their websites.

Be sure to book your rooms ASAP if you are planning to stay in a hotel. The rates below are special and based on availability! Opening Day for the Del Mar Racetrack is the Thursday before our wedding so hotel rooms may go quickly in the next couple months.

Make sure you mention the Theriault / Renaud Wedding when booking to get the discount.

Hey Girls!

Okay, after becoming addicted and obsessed with the plethora of bridal blogs out there, I had an amazing idea to start one so we could all communicate and everyone could be a part of the wedding planning!

Being in different time zones sucks BUT I think this should be fun!

Because I wanted ALL the people who mean the very most to me to be a part of my big day, I will have 10, yes 10 bridesmaids and KJ will have 10 groomsmen. And as Crawford put it, it also ensures that at least 6 will be coherent at the end of the night. Hopefully!

First order of business, who's who?

Anyhow the list ... in order by when I met them, and a little introduction for those who don't know eachother!

Julie Mazzola (Maid of Honor) - My Little Sister who I met her the day she was born, but it took me a while longer to decide that I liked her. She was slightly cuter than I was for a while.

Sarah Maguire (or Lurky ... if you were confused) - (Maid of Honor) I met Lurky about day 2 in the dorms, she bursted in through a window of Castillion 101 and I knew she was destined to be my partner in crime. Little did I know what was in store for us!

Sara Guenther (Maid of Honor) - I also met Guenthes in the dorms, she had an unfortunate roommate so Lurky and I befriended her ... good thing because turns out we are a match made in heaven and have been inseperable for the last 10 years! We also share a weakness for kangaroos and Snakebites :)

Susan Orosz - I'm pretty sure I met Susan during rush but I can't be sure. I just remember being her slave in Arlington and making her quesadillas as payment for sleeping on her couch. It was a good thing we were such good friends, people thought we were actually twins ... or the same person!

Kourtney Gamble - Kourtney was my idol when I was a freshman and she was a sophomore ... she knew everything and everyone, and was louder than I was ...hard to believe, I know! So I basically followed in her footsteps which ensured we would be roommates and could properly dominate Davis together.

Kelley Tarzian - I interviewed Kelley at my first job out of college in San Diego ... I told my boss that she was the best for the job because I thought she was really cool and I desperately needed a friend at work! Thank goodness I was right, and after leaving San Diego and leaving a mark on the country of Australia, we became roommies for 2 years in SF.

Kristin Crawford - One day at work Kristin got a "promotion" and got the pleasure/punishment of being my trainee. Lucky for both of us ... because we had someone to commiserate with and spend the next 2 years wasting company time together! Kristin also changed my life by introducing me to Bart Simpsons.

Sara Ward - Sara joined Kristin and I in our cube triangle at work pretty early on, and then I realized how I knew her! She was the sister of my roommate sophomore year in college ... small world! Also a fan of liquid lunches, Sara was my perfect neighbor and friend! Sara also likes Kells even more than I did, which I thought was impossible!

Renee Collins - Kelley and I found Renee though a personal ad on Craigslist. (true story) Then we invited her to a really uncomfortable party at our house and decided she would be the perfect roommate, we were right! After 2 years of being the Three Amigos we all went our seperate ways, but I couldn't have imagined my time in SF without them!

Molly Renaud - Molly is KJ's Big Sister! While I have known Molly just about a year and a half, she showed KJ the ropes in life and I think he turned out pretty great! We also live together ... sort of!

These next 6 months will be a blast and I hope everyone can access this page at work!!
